GreerGuard includes an optional DNS filtering feature called Safe Browsing. When enabled, it uses Android's VpnService API to create a local VPN tunnel on your device. This tunnel intercepts DNS queries, the lookups your apps make before connecting to any server, and blocks known tracker, advertising, and malware domains before a connection is ever made.

All DNS filtering happens entirely on your device. No internet traffic, browsing content, or app data is routed through any external server. The local tunnel is used only to inspect and filter DNS queries, forwarding allowed domains to Cloudflare's DNS resolver (1.1.1.1). Your data is never collected, sold, or shared as part of this feature.

You can turn Safe Browsing on or off at any time from within the app. It has no effect on your internet speed or connectivity for allowed traffic.
