Description
Granny Remake is a refreshed take on the cult horror game from FerriteLabs, once again putting you in a desperate fight for survival against the deranged old woman. As before, the action takes place in an abandoned mansion full of crooked walls, collapsed ceilings and sealed-off rooms. In this eerie setting, the protagonist soon wakes up – someone who chose to cut through the forest and stumbled straight into the deadly traps set by local legend. How will the story end? And is it really possible to escape the merciless, terrifying and unhinged grandmother?
Atmosphere, Gameplay and Difficulty
The core ideas of Granny Remake remain the same, but they now carry a rather unusual charm – they push you to explore the surroundings more closely, peer into the shadows and read every note you come across, hoping to get one step closer to the truth. Interestingly, the balance has shifted a little too – surviving in this ever-changing world is now several times harder.
The local granny has also grown more aggressive – just as in the original PC version, the hero must find a way to freedom within a limited amount of time, but now they'll need to move even faster (a true Game of the Year contender in the Adventure genre), and any mistake will immediately bring up the Game Over screen…
