Ghost Racing: Formula E arrived as one of the most distinctive racing games of its time. The project has plenty going for it. The developers worked real telemetry data into the game while keeping performance light enough for modern mobile devices. Graphics quality is impressive, with the entire surrounding world rendered in fine detail. In terms of scale, it is anything but modest. Live race commentary is also included, which is a rare feature for this genre and a genuine novelty.
The artificial intelligence is hard to fault. Opponents do not follow simple, predictable patterns that could be exploited, so their behavior stays unpredictable even for experienced drivers. There is no real-time racing mode yet, but a steady stream of tournaments is held regularly. When no tournament is running, you can still join other events. The AI mainly serves players who cannot yet race against real opponents, though the human community is growing quickly, and the developers are working hard to build an active, well-connected player base.
