Unlike its predecessors, GangStart stands out with a distinctive visual identity. The story of Big Brother Ji Dao's death and rebirth is told in rich detail. In the first chapter, Wang Dao leans into the absurdist humor typical of the "Sick Series." An elimination RPG this entertaining and thrilling is a real breath of fresh air. Each draw in the "Ichiban Rewards" card pool offers just 25 open spots, giving players a 4% chance to obtain a limited or rare character. The odds are rising and will likely keep climbing. Once a jackpot is won, all remaining grids open at no cost to the player, and any unclaimed virtual rewards are handed over as a gift. The game features four professions: swordsmanship, archery, magic, and animal husbandry.

Every profession is linked to a specific color rune. There is no "devour yourself" point of no return, and each character comes with a personal set of active and passive talents. The developers say the experience design is more varied and chain-based than that of traditional match-3 games. On a five-by-six rune board, you can reshape rune placements by expanding your movement points in the chosen direction. Once every chain condition for a given color is completed, the characters of that color begin attacking with their chained abilities. Beyond the graduation itself, players can start the game for free with SSR Li Li Lingnan, SSR Margaret, and SSR Shentao Yinghuo through the free card pool. It has also been noted that short voice lines are not yet supported, though the brief voices of these three Vtubers will return in future versions.
