FunControl. Better than parental control! is an Education Android app developed by BrainDrain that you can install on your Android devices and start using right away.
Is your child spending too much time playing or using pointless apps? Let's change that so your child can spend their time in a smarter way!
Our solution helps your child stop spending hours on games, cartoons and other entertainment apps without any stress (!), so they can devote their time and energy to learning and personal growth. An ideal solution for caring parents!
This app lets you choose which of the apps on the device are educational and which are entertaining, then set a flexible balance between them (for example: 1 minute in an educational app earns 2 minutes in an entertainment app). By using educational apps, your child earns time that they can then spend on entertainment apps. Once the earned entertainment time runs out, games and other "harmful" apps are blocked. To unlock them again, your child needs to earn more entertainment time. This way, with our app, your child not only has fun but keeps on learning all the time!
If your device has only a few educational apps, we also offer a list of recommended educational apps, so you can always pick something suitable for your child.
Features:
• Assign a category to the apps installed on the device: Entertaining, Educational, Neutral, Blocked.
• Adjust the balance between entertainment and educational apps.
• Automatically lock entertainment apps when the time earned from educational apps runs out.
• Create a list of apps that will be completely unavailable to your child.
• View information and statistics on the time spent in educational and entertainment apps.
• Browse a selection of recommended educational apps to install.
• Manually add or subtract accumulated time (for example, as a reward for good behavior or good grades).
• Temporarily unlock an entertainment app or fully deactivate the app by entering the parent PIN.
• Support for profiles for several children.
• Your child can choose their own name, and set an avatar and character for their profile.
Install our app right now so your child learns more and plays less!
FOR BETA TESTERS: Our app is currently in public beta testing. All beta testing participants can use FunControl for free during the beta period and for 3 months after release. In addition, we will offer all active beta testing participants a personal extension of their free subscription of up to 1 year from the release date. Active participation means searching for and reporting any bugs you find, completing questionnaires, and so on.
The standard free trial period for our app is 2 weeks. This period is unique to each device, so if you use one Google account on different devices, the trial period will run separately for each of your devices.
This app uses the Device Administrator permission. It is required to prevent children from uninstalling the app without entering the parent PIN. If you don't use this feature (enabled in the settings), the Device Administrator permission is not needed.
