A JOURNEY TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM FALLEN GODS

In the world of “Tiara,” humans and food spirits in human form live side by side, until a fallen god suddenly emerges to threaten its destruction. As a head attendant of a cooking master, the player runs a restaurant, forms a contract with a food spirit, and sets off on an adventure through Tiara. The cast features popular voice actors, including Kazuyuki Okitsu as chocolate, Jun Fukuyama as red wine, Aoi Yuki as mango pudding, and Miyuki Sawashiro as Yuyama cloud tea.

FOOD FANTASY BLENDS TWO GENRES INTO ONE

Plenty of adventure sequences and striking visual scenes await. The recently released food anthropomorphic RPG “Cuidime” drew on a well-known fleet battle game, whereas “Food Fantasy” dives into the world of cooking instead. Its restaurant management elements make it especially engaging. Beyond the common R and SR ranks, there are food spirits of the top “M” rank, whose real worth shines when they serve as chefs and waiters in the management section rather than in combat.

Since collaborative skills depend on specific activation conditions, nearly every character remains useful no matter their rank. You can grow attached to each character by raising their favorability and dressing them in individual outfits. Unlike many recent anthropomorphic games, this one features a large roster of male characters, giving female players plenty to enjoy as well.

THOROUGHLY DEVELOPING YOUR FOOD SPIRITS

Characters level up through battles and experience items. Inserting fragments raises their star count and ability values (separate from rank), and their skills can be enhanced too. Elements such as favorability and skins (outfit changes) add considerable depth to character development.

RUNNING A RESTAURANT BETWEEN BATTLES

In the management section, you assign food spirits as chefs and waiters, have them cook according to recipes, and serve customers as they arrive over time. This is where you earn funds and items, and once you meet the requirements, you can expand your shop.

GAMEPLAY GUIDE

• Battle stages are played by spending hearts, which recover over time.
• Many hearts are handed out early on, so you can keep progressing without waiting.
• Battles run in real time, with characters moving and attacking automatically.
• The vanguard character on the right side of the screen takes the lead in attacks, so keep an eye on the remaining health gauge.
• In the bottom right corner of the screen is an icon for an active cooperation skill, which charges up as you attack enemies.
• If the target character falls, the skill cannot be activated, so stay alert.
• Link skills become available when you place specific characters together in your party.
• Each character’s detail screen lists their cooperation partners, so refer to it when building your party.
• Along with familiar ranks such as R and SR, characters have a rank called M, designed for the management section.
• Put them to work in the management section, then use the funds they earn to train food spirits suited for battle.
