Description
FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS lets players follow the storyline across all parts of Final Fantasy VII. The narrative is split into chapters, and familiar faces such as Jessie, Barret and, of course, Cloud make their return. Based on the trailer, world exploration uses an isometric perspective, and in these scenes the characters look much like they did in the original PlayStation One release.
Battles include an idle mode. It makes the early fights easier, though it can leave your squad underpowered once you reach high-level content.
When moving through locations, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis carries a classic FFVII look reminiscent of the PlayStation 1 era. Story text and animated character actions play out along the way. If the plot doesn't interest you, you can skip past the dialogue.
Victories in FFVII: Ever Crisis reward you with coins and XP. To keep winning consistently, use skills tied to the right elements, such as fire or lightning, against enemies that have a "Weakness" to them.
You will likely need to unlock new characters, their skins and weapons through the gacha system. Summoning tickets, which you can find in chests while exploring locations, hint at this.
Boss battles are part of the game as well, and some moments appear to borrow ideas from Honkai: Star Rail. A boss may wind up a powerful attack, but you can interrupt it using the frost element.
