Description

FaceNiff

FaceNiff is a well-known Android app in certain circles that lets you scan for and intercept web sessions. Its features make it possible to hijack accounts even on an encrypted network (WPA2 only).

Overview

FaceNiff is built for intercepting web sessions. Here's how it works: you connect to a public Wi-Fi network, the tool scans the shared access point, and it detects sessions that can be intercepted.

The user picks a "victim" and, after a few seconds of waiting, can already send messages from the victim's social network or forum account, place orders on websites, and carry out other unauthorized actions.

Features

The app relies on weaknesses in how traffic is transmitted. Only the login and password verification step is encrypted; after that, account access is maintained through standard tokens sent along with the website's cookies. These tokens are easy to capture with FaceNiff, which lets someone take control of an account until the victim logs out themselves and the cookie-based verification stops.

The vast majority of websites suffer from this problem, including well-known ones such as Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, VKontakte, Evernote, Dropbox, and others, as well as ordinary forums, online stores, and user-generated platforms.

Below you can download both the standard version of FaceNiff and the PRO version for Android, completely free of charge!
