Don’t Starve: Newhome is a cooperative sandbox game from Tencent Mobile. The developers describe it as an “evolution of the franchise,” introducing new characters and strange creatures for players to discover. You can jump straight into a co-op room or head off on a solo adventure whenever you like. The core gameplay stays very close to the original Don’t Starve, and both the interface and game features will feel familiar. Early on, your priority is gathering basic resources such as carrots and grass.
To make things easier to follow, the developers have organized quests into categories: tutorial, basic and, likely, extra. Required items are also clearly highlighted. At the start, Wilson lends a hand, for instance when you face off against spiders. Daily logins come with rewards, and your characters can be leveled up. The game now also includes permanent buildings. A PTA is currently running in Newhome, and sign-ups for the record are open via the official website.
Don’t Starve: Newhome keeps the research, survival and crafting elements at its heart, while adding multiplayer and social features on top. You can build your own permanent homes and develop your hero over time.
