For many years, humans and demons have been locked in conflict. Mankind is fighting to rid its homeland of monsters, while the forces of darkness aim to enslave people and conquer the entire world. Your job is to guide these valiant heroes through an thrilling journey and through brutal battles.

The story mode is split into several dozen levels. On each one, you assemble a squad, place your fighters on the battlefield, and then join the fight. Each battle unfolds in a different location: defenders of the human race hold one side, while monsters from the underworld push forward from the other. Characters fall into several classes. Some act as tanks with heavy armor, so they belong at the front of the formation. Others wield sharp blades, followed by archers, healers, and wizards. Every hero needs a fitting position in the squad. You decide where each one goes, and you can rearrange the formation whenever you like.

In combat, heroes attack enemies on their own, using a mix of skills and basic attacks. Successful actions charge up energy, which powers your main skill. If you prefer, you can turn on auto-battle and simply watch the action unfold. From the main menu, you can recruit new characters, improve their stats, and strengthen their primary abilities.
