Your main goal is to wipe out entire swarms of monsters marching toward your castle. You do this by stationing your characters as towers along the routes the enemy troops will take.

You start with six unique characters, each of which you can upgrade using coins earned by clearing levels. A growing set of skills and abilities unlocks as you progress. Some heroes wield magic that fires on its own against nearby enemies, and you also have a selection of abilities to trigger whenever you choose, from fireballs and freezing blasts to toxic poison.
