Description

Deep Vault 69 is a visual novel created by illustrator Bohohon, who reimagined the Fallout universe. As in the original RPG, the story takes place in the near future, just as the survivors of Vault 69 decide to head up to the surface. More than 60 years have gone by since a nuclear blast erased human civilization from the planet. How has the world changed? Will there be supplies and at least a few useful items out there? Virtual pioneers will have to explore the wasteland to uncover the answers…

Atmosphere, Gameplay, and Events

One of the standout aspects of Deep Vault 69 is that you can do much more than chat with characters and slowly unlock new locations. For a while, you also become a true adventurer, tackling unusual puzzles along the way. The hero sets out on quests to track down a missing water filter (the references are everywhere!), fights off mutants, and gathers relics from the distant past.

What seems to be missing is the ability to fully manage your inventory, such as repairing armor, arranging items on the quick-access bar, or at least customizing the cards used in battle. That said, recent updates added a quest log and a special notebook to the menu, where the hero jots down personal observations and tracks relationship levels with many characters. Maybe it's time to stop watching from the sidelines and take action to find a way out of the situation?
