TEAMING UP WITH SUPERHEROES FROM THE DC UNIVERSE

In DC Legends, you'll join heroes from the DC Comics universe and get the chance to meet your all-time favorites. Your mission is to help these heroes overcome The Blackest Night, a threat that endangers the entire DC universe. You'll join forces with different heroes to take down mighty foes using powerful abilities.

You won't be going it alone, either. You'll form a team with four other superheroes, which means every battle is a 4v4 showdown. You'll look for the right attacks and tactics to defeat your enemies. Each skill is used in turn by tapping the icons in the bottom right corner of the screen. The task is simple to understand, but choosing the right skill at the right moment is essential to beating certain targets.

MAKE THE MOST OF EACH HERO'S SKILLS AND TRAITS

When you start Campaign mode in DC Legends, you'll move through many different levels filled with enemies of various attributes. The key thing you'll notice is that all superheroes in the game belong to one of three main attributes. Each attribute is stronger against one type and weaker against another, a common counter mechanic found in many games.

When a match begins and it's one of your team's turns, first check the counter triangle on the right side of the screen. It shows which attribute your active character belongs to and highlights its advantage over another attribute. If an enemy has an unfavorable attribute against yours, you'll deal more damage. For this reason, players often build squads that include all three attributes so they can handle a wide variety of enemies.

SUMMON YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS

DC Legends features many heroes from across the DC universe. One way to summon them is to collect a set number of shards for the character you want. You spend resources to obtain shards, with varying levels of risk involved. The game then offers different types of packs depending on how many resources you have.

Summoning is only the beginning, since there's a lot more to manage for each character. You'll need additional shards to advance your characters to a higher rank, which significantly boosts their combat stats. Their powers also improve with each upgrade, and every upgrade gives you an effect to weigh when deciding which power to prioritize.
