DESTROY DANGEROUS SYSTEMS IN THE GAME

At the start of Data Defense, you are given just one tower, which you can place in various spots. Before committing to a position, check each tower's stats to see its attack speed and special effects. Starter towers usually have basic attacks and cost the fewest credits, so you can afford to build several at once. As you add new buildings, keep in mind that they will shape a path for the enemies.

Each new building you place creates gaps that gradually form a clear route for the malicious programs. Enemies will avoid your buildings and follow a different course, which lets you steer them and hit them with your attacks. You can also see in advance how many enemies are coming, so you can prepare stronger defenses to wipe them out.

Enemies emerge from a red portal on the right side of the screen, and it is not the only one. Portals multiply over time, so watch the green rays on the field to predict where enemies will move. More portals also mean stronger enemies will show up, so you will need to keep upgrading your defenses.

UNLOCK POWERFUL NEW TOWERS

As you progress, new towers keep unlocking in Data Defense to help you handle a wider variety of enemies. One tower can slow down fast-moving foes, though its attack speed is rather limited. You may need to add a tower that supports your attacks or one that reduces enemy armor, so the enemies cannot push past your defenses.

Your growing strength is matched by enemies with more stamina. Small blue squares are not much of a threat, but red and yellow squares put real pressure on you. You would not expect your system to shift from green to red because of a single enemy attack.
