Description
DarkBind is a slasher game for Android where you start by creating your own character, and the in-game editor is surprisingly detailed. Soon after, you're dropped into a foggy area filled with graves and eerie, quiet dialogue. NetEase clearly put a lot of effort into the visuals, especially the lighting, while the fog seems to be used to hide rough edges, much like in Silent Hill. I'm happy that DarkBind has no auto-fighting, at least at the beginning. Aiming at enemies is kept to a minimum, so you can take on several foes at once, dash, dodge, and more. As for gameplay, you complete quests and clear out corridor-style areas. The open world, however, didn't make the cut. Access to each location is limited to one hour at most, and if you fall in battle you have to pay to be revived, otherwise you'll wake up back in the city of Khabarovsk.
