Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer is a board game about nurturing hope, where Super High School Level students go on a fun adventure at a tropical resort. The fast-paced detective action series Danganronpa has expanded well beyond games into a wide range of media mixes. The board game from the third entry has been reworked and released for smartphones. Set at the tropical resort "Jabberwock Island" within the virtual world, you choose one of the series' characters and set off across the Sugoroku-style Wind Island map.

COMPLETE THE ISLAND IN 50 DAYS!

The main board game mode has you cross several islands of Jabberwock within 50 days (50 turns). Roll the dice each turn, move forward by the number rolled, and head toward character training squares, battle squares, Sugoroku spaces, and squares where you can draw cards that change the outcome of events. Turn-based command battles take place on Battle Mass. Aim for victory by making the most of each character's unique skills and the abilities gained from talent fragments.

Compared to the previous series, where the characters faced misfortune, this entry has a brighter worldview and includes more than 1,000 character events that cross the boundaries of the series. New swimsuit illustrations have also been created for every character, so both longtime fans and players who only know the cast can enjoy them. As a game, it is a training board game, but it is built much like a "Sugoroku RPG," with turn-based command battles. You can't move multiple characters on the Sugoroku map at once, but solid replay value comes from capturing the 200-level dungeon with your trained characters.

STRENGTHEN CHARACTERS WITH EVENTS THAT OCCUR ON EACH SQUARE

Each character has a unique skill based on their original abilities. When you land on a training square on the board, the character's stats grow, giving you an advantage in battle. By collecting three types of talent fragments, you can learn attack and recovery skills, and item squares let you acquire powerful weapons and armor. Use these training squares and skill acquisitions to build up your characters.
