THE ROAD TO BECOMING A CHEF

The story begins in the Gourmet Nation of Cooking My Story, where a girl dreams big about becoming a cook. While working at her job, she catches a show featuring a famous chef named Alex, who is searching for someone to win his contest and claim an impressive prize. The contest reward includes a trophy and the opportunity to work alongside him. From there, the game leads into its main gameplay.

The scene shifts to a food stall, where the main character chats with Alex, and he teaches her how to make waffles so she can compete and possibly win the contest. Alex also stays with you throughout the game as a guide to its mechanics, helping you stay informed and make confident decisions. The cooking system here is a bit different from other games in the same genre.

MOVE AND COOK WITH CARE

Unlike many other games, you'll see your character move through a 2D environment in Cooking My Story rather than from a first-person view. You need to tap items in the kitchen so the character can keep moving around. Cooking begins only when the character touches a machine, and the food or drink is then prepared automatically. Waffles require extra attention: you need to watch for the right level of doneness and take them out after a day so they don't burn.

Besides the waffles Alex shows you, plenty of other foods and drinks are set up in your kitchen. Some items, like cakes, need time to finish, while others can be served almost instantly. Each customer who visits your restaurant has a status bar made of hearts. As the hearts lose their color and the bar drops, their mood worsens. To bring their mood back up, fulfill one of their requests and then work through the rest.

OVERCOME VARIOUS CHALLENGES

The amount of money you need to earn is displayed at the top of the Cooking My Story screen, and you must serve many customers correctly so they don't walk out. Unlike in other cooking games, only waffles take a long time to prepare, while most other dishes can be served right away. If you receive many different orders at once and struggle to keep up, consider buying new utensils and upgrading the cooking equipment in your kitchen.

You can purchase extra items to place in your restaurant and kitchen, such as new trays. Each tray can hold two dishes, whether they are ready to serve or don't yet match a customer's order. Upgrading your cooking and beverage equipment also boosts performance, cutting down preparation time so you can satisfy every customer who walks through your doors.
