Civil War: 1865 is a tactical Android strategy title developed by HexWar Games Ltd that you can experience on your mobile device!

Following the fall of Columbia and Charleston in South Carolina during early 1865, Jefferson Morrison belatedly transferred supreme army command to General Lee. Unfortunately, this failed to halt Union forces as they pushed through North Carolina, seizing Fayetteville, Bentonville, Goldsboro, and Raleigh by mid-April.

Worn down by the lengthy Union sieges of Petersburg and Richmond, Lee's troops mounted a final desperate resistance by striking and taking Fort Stedman on March 25. A swift counter-offensive quickly nullified the gain, and on the evening of April 2, Confederate forces finally abandoned Richmond. Throughout the following week, Union troops hunted down the Confederates along the Appomattox River, completely cutting off any routes for escape. Grant formally accepted Lee's surrender at Appomattox Court House on April 9, while Sherman accepted Johnston's surrender at Durham Station, North Carolina, on April 26, bringing the American Civil War and domestic slavery to a close.
