Description

Car Widget Pro simplifies using your phone inside the car by letting you dedicate one or more home launcher screens to in-car use. Unlike dedicated car home apps, you can still reach every other screen on your launcher whenever you need them.

To open the widget settings, use the app shortcut.

HOW TO USE / OPEN / ADD From any home screen, press "Menu," then "Add," select "Widgets," and pick "Car Widget" from the list. You may need to restart your device before the widget appears in the list.

Main features: * 4×4 widget * 4, 6, or 8 large shortcuts per widget * 5 skins * Customization options: background color, opacity, font size and color, icon tint * Replacement for "Car Dock" and "Car Home" apps * Custom icons and titles for shortcuts * Icon pack support

Available shortcuts (expandable with installed apps): * Applications * Bookmarks * Contacts * Direct dial and messaging * Directions and navigation (using Google Maps) * Gmail labels * Music playlists * Settings * Built-in shortcuts (InCar switch, Play/Pause, Next, Previous, experimental)

Car Widget Pro's automation: Recognizes when you're inside the car and adjusts your phone's settings to match.

Triggers (any combination of these can be used): * Power cable connected * Headphones connected * Bluetooth device connected * Activity recognition (driving, walking) * Car dock

Actions: * Turn on Bluetooth * Disable screen timeout * Adjust screen brightness * Adjust media volume * Turn off Wi-Fi * Route calls to speaker * Auto answer (experimental) * Autorun app * Shortcuts in the notification bar (Android 4.0)

Limitations: – The screen can't be unlocked from the widget – You can't jump to a specific screen from the widget – GPS can't be switched from the widget

Permissions: CALL_PHONE (call phone numbers directly), used for the direct call shortcut WAKE_LOCK (keep the phone from sleeping), used to disable screen timeout WRITE_SETTINGS (modify system settings), used to adjust brightness ACCESS_WIFI_STATE and CHANGE_WIFI_STATE, used to connect to and disconnect from Wi-Fi BLUETOOTH and BLUETOOTH_ADMIN, required to switch Bluetooth on or off (modify or delete the contents of USB storage), used for backup and restore

Tips: * Landscape mode: Not every launcher supports landscape mode. If yours doesn't, switch to an alternative that does, such as LauncherPro or ADW.

IMPORTANT Use this app with care and never handle your device while driving. Always keep your eyes on the road.
