Description
Bread and Fred is a compact puzzle game from SandCastles studio that drops players into a cartoonish, pixel-art world built around its two title heroes. Bread and Fred are penguins by birth and explorers at heart: they have already scaled towering mountains and combed through dungeons near their own cabin, and now they set their sights on the peak of the snow-covered cliffs looming over their tiny town.
Crazy? Absolutely! In Bread and Fred, many moves have to be timed in sync with a friend who joins you as a partner on this unusual journey.
Atmosphere, Gameplay, and Events
This competitive arcade game from SandCastles Studio made the leap from Windows PC to mobile, and soon after release, speedrun contests sprang up for clearing every challenge (SpeedRun Games) and pulling off flawless jumps (Jump Apogee) on every patch of land. Surprisingly, interest in this kind of content spread fast, with thousands of dedicated players hoping to land a spot on the leaderboard.
Crazy? Absolutely! Even in single-player mode, which was added quite recently, making it to map 3 or 4 is already a real achievement. In co-op play, the Game Over screen keeps popping up.
