Description
Fans who love expressing their enthusiasm for sports on the go often turn to sports-themed mobile games. DoubleTap Software, aware of how popular both basketball and video games are, created Basketball Battle for basketball lovers. Players clearly respond well to the title, even though basketball trails football in countries such as China, Korea, the Philippines, and especially the United States.
Basketball's rules can be explained in just a few words. The objective is simple: score baskets for your own team while keeping your opponent from doing the same. Although basketball is a team sport, it also features intense one-on-one duels. In this authentic sports simulation, players are dropped right into the action of a real-life basketball game. You control the characters on your team as you fight for possession, sprint across the court, and try to put the ball in the basket.
New players will first get comfortable with the core mechanics, such as moving around the court and shooting from different distances. Once you feel confident, you can test your abilities against the computer, which is a tough opponent to beat. Each match rewards you with coins that you can spend on new and stronger squad members. Players can be purchased with either cash or gold. Gold is harder to earn, but it unlocks access to the world's best players. Every character has core attributes including Health, Speed, Finishing, Controversy, and Defense. As in FIFA or PES, the number of stars beside a player's name shows their skill level.
