You can also unlock new skills each time you level up, up to a maximum of 5. Once learned, skills stay with you for every match, so choosing wisely matters. BarbarQ isn't all about levels, though. Skills and abilities like dodging are an excellent way to turn the tide in a fight.
Players earn experience by devouring mushrooms, which lets them sharpen their skills and level up as they play more matches. As they gain new abilities that help them withstand opponents, they grow stronger and more formidable. Each player takes on the role of a barbarian, focused on one goal: defeating each other while feasting on mushrooms. You can also grab random items such as bombs, honey meat, and more.
As in other IO-style games, the items and levels gained during a match reset once it ends. Players can still earn gold, which goes toward upgrades and acquiring pets to aid them in battle. BarbarQ offers a variety of game modes, including real-time 3v3, 2v2, team fights, Pet Adventure, and Idle mode.
