To begin, you decide which of your characters will set out on their own personal journey first. If you want your character to rise as a hero, give them a noble, diplomatic personality. This choice matters a great deal. That trait will always shape the character's priorities and guide them as you move through the game.
Or would you prefer to play as a polite, obedient overlord, a courteous and dutiful maiden, or a hungry, disloyal underling? (dictator, societal antagonist) In most cases, the choices players make have the greatest impact on how the game ends. Once you take control of one character, the artificial intelligence handles the other, and the story carries on from there.
