Description
Babel Tower (Tower of Babel) is an experimental arcade game from the studio N-Dream that blends city-building simulation, economic strategy and full-fledged puzzle elements, requiring players to tap the screen at exactly the right moments. This genre mix is unusual yet intriguing: most of the developers' effort went into designing the special sections of the Tower of Babel, where rooms and entire floors are assembled from bricks carried by virtual workers. Players then have to stack these pieces together, gradually raising a structure of almost unreachable height. The concept isn't new, but as experience shows, not everyone can master it...
Content, Gameplay and Updates
The world of Tower of Babel (Game of the Year edition) draws on religious themes only in part. The developers don't even attempt to explain to newcomers how the tower everyone is trying to build from the available materials came about, or why, as myths and legends tell it, the construction plan ended in disaster.
Yet this light touch on the lore may be even better, as it lets you compete with opponents, both locally and in multiplayer, without getting bogged down in extra thinking or extra subtext. So why not become the one who pushes this world forward? Unexpected adventures are already waiting!
