Autoroid – Automation Device Settings is a Tools app for Android, developed by MIN Studio, that you can install on your Android devices and start using right away!
An app that opens and closes other apps, responds to connection events (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, earphones) and automatically configures your phone for the environment you choose. You can also adjust phone settings based on the time of day using the scheduling and profile features.
Trial version features: – Adjust settings to suit your surroundings by monitoring which apps are running – Automatically close apps and keep other apps in the background when launching an app – Time-based settings with scheduled notifications – Change apps and settings when connection events such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth occur – Save a setup profile and apply all its settings at once, with launcher support
✔ Configurable options: – Set up a Wi-Fi connection – Configure a Bluetooth connection – Screen brightness – Screen rotation direction (forced rotation supported regardless of app support) – Automatic screen-off timeout – Media volume – Sound mode – GPS and mobile data setup (a security settings permission is required via the ADB tool) – Hotspot settings – Sync settings – Do Not Disturb settings – NFC settings – Third-party support for Adguard and Poweramp – Root-privileged changes – Data backup and restore
✔ Supported events: – Wi-Fi connected / disconnected – Bluetooth connected / disconnected – Earphones plugged in / unplugged – Battery charger plugged in / unplugged – Entering / leaving a location – Root commands
✔ How to grant permission to turn GPS and mobile data on or off – GPS and mobile data are protected settings that require the security settings permission, which cannot be granted from within the app. Connect your phone to a PC, open a command window in the ADB tool, and run the following command: (adb shell pm grant com.kmshack.autoset android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS)
– Note: If a setting is reverted while the app is running because of the original behavior when switching to other apps, try resolving it by ignoring the system UI event and granting access to usage information.
✔ When would you use it? – Prevent Wi-Fi from draining your mobile data by turning Wi-Fi on automatically when you open YouTube. – When you launch a navigation app, the screen can automatically become brighter and the volume louder. – You can also automatically lower the sound when you start a game. – Set a specific app to switch to landscape mode when it launches. – Have Bluetooth turn on automatically when you open a music app. – Switch to silent mode automatically during your work hours. – Switch to silent mode when a certain Wi-Fi network is connected. – Set the volume and launch a music app when earphones are connected. – Launch a chosen app when Bluetooth connects.
This app applies phone setup or setting changes all at once based on connection events.
