Description
Arsonate is a gloomy horror game inspired by Buckshot Roulette, borrowing the look and feel of PS1-era titles such as Silent Hill. It shows that Buckshot can inspire not just clones but fully developed successors.
In Arsonate, you can't leave the observation tower until you obtain the key, and the only way to get it is by playing a card game against a mysterious stranger. The rules feel confusing at first, but they become clear as the match goes on. The aim is to keep your cards face up and see what each one brings: a spark of fire, an extra move, or a gadget. The gadgets include a fire extinguisher, a telescope, a crowbar and a fire axe, and each one can only be used on your next turn. The winner is the player whose fire never reaches the card bearing the observation tower.
