Afterward, the main hero moves from left to right, delivering quick sword strikes to any foes nearby. At the start of every battle round, players may choose two talents from a selection pool to enhance their performance. These talents are stored in the player's inventory and can be reviewed from the pool of options. When players collect gold coins from defeated enemies and complete the tasks assigned within the game, they are rewarded with additional gold. Collecting the coins, however, meant stepping over them, which exposed players to the risk of injury.

You are declared the winner if you wipe out all invading enemies before the time runs out. The game ends if another foe defeats the player or if the magical barrier protecting them is broken. You can spend the gold earned from battles on these areas: strengthening your army's abilities, upgrading your city's fortifications, and preparing to repel the next wave of Dark Legion attacks. Use the money from battles to improve your army's equipment, reinforce your city's defenses, and get ready for the next Dark Legion raid.
