Alternate Watch is an experimental horror game from Gamma Studio Apps, offering a striking atmosphere, slow-paced meditative gameplay, and a distinctive visual style. At first, the surroundings look convincingly real, yet some objects on screen simply don't belong in the scene. The reason? A paranormal force that is literally tearing through the world around you. Atmosphere, Gameplay and Difficulty
One of the defining traits of Alternate Watch is its meditative pacing, which draws you into a calm, seemingly "safe" environment. Your task is simply to inspect the area with a flashlight and record what you discover in a special diary. Yet things grow stranger than they first appear: eventually, faces start vanishing from photographs, fingers push out of boxes, and where a floor lamp should hang on the wall, a human head dangles instead...
Such moments are hard to adjust to, so you will often need to leap ahead as you advance. That is simply the nature of this world: unpredictable, eerie, yet with a hopeful ending, right? Don't celebrate too soon, though. Every single mistake will immediately send the main character to an unavoidable death...
