Description
Air Fighter War 1949
This is a classic example of a vertical scrolling shooter. Step into the shoes of a courageous pilot ready to give everything for his homeland.
Gameplay Features
In this game, you temporarily take on the role of a pilot thrown into countless battles at the height of World War II. Many of these clashes are inspired by real events, though you shouldn't expect a high degree of realism from the game.
The project will appeal most to fans of nonstop action and near-constant explosions. Notably, you can only play as the Allied forces.
You have access to a wide range of aircraft, each accompanied by a brief technical description.
Graphics and Controls
The graphics leave quite a bit to be desired. The game features a large number of locations, but many of them are designed in a rather unimpressive way.
That said, the animations and special effects look quite good and add variety to the already dynamic gameplay. The numerous explosions will definitely keep boredom at bay.
As for the controls, they follow the traditional approach for this genre. Your fighter plane sits in the center of the screen and fires automatically.
You only need to steer it across the sky in different directions. You can dodge enemy attacks and shoot down other planes using just one finger.
