AFWall+ APK is an app that serves as a front end for the powerful iptables firewall.
AFWall+ is a free, open-source firewall for Android that you can get right here. It lets you decide which apps can reach the Internet and how they connect. On Android, AFWall+ is also available on Google Play. The first time you launch AFWall+, it will ask you to grant root access. Without root access, the firewall cannot function.
Apps with an Internet connection appear in the list with their name on the right and their icon on the left. The middle columns of the table are separated by gaps. By default, connections over LAN, Wi-Fi, and mobile data are shown in the list. You can freely choose which app connections to allow or block.
Start by configuring AFWall+. Tap the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open the main menu. Then choose Preferences from the menu that appears.
The drop-down menus list apps grouped into core, system, and user categories. Turn on the Show app UID option to display each app's UID. If you enable "Confirm AFWall+ to disable," you'll be asked to confirm with a security alert whenever AFWall+ is turned off.
How to install
- Download the APK file above to your phone.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” when prompted.
- Open the downloaded APK and tap Install.
- If the package includes OBB/XAPK data, follow the bundled instructions.
MOD APKs are modified builds, so Play Protect may show a warning. Install only if you trust the file; use at your own risk.
