AFWall+ APK is an app that serves as a user-friendly front end for the powerful iptables firewall.
AFWall+ is a free, open-source firewall for Android that you can download from Apkmod.app. It lets you decide which apps are allowed to reach the Internet and how they connect. Android users can also get AFWall+ from Google Play. The first time you launch AFWall+, it will ask you to grant root access. Without root access, the firewall cannot function.
Apps with Internet access are listed with their name on the right and their icon on the left. Gaps separate the columns in the middle of the table. By default, connections over LAN, Wi-Fi, and mobile data are shown in the list. This gives you the freedom to pick which app connections to allow or block.
To get started, configure AFWall+. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of the screen to open the main menu. Then choose Preferences from the menu that appears.
The drop-down menus show applications grouped into core, system, and user categories. Turn on the Show app UID option if you want to display each app's UID. If you enable "Confirm AFWall+ to disable," you will receive a security warning whenever AFWall+ is turned off.
How to install
- Download the APK file above to your phone.
- Allow “Install unknown apps” when prompted.
- Open the downloaded APK and tap Install.
- If the package includes OBB/XAPK data, follow the bundled instructions.
MOD APKs are modified builds, so Play Protect may show a warning. Install only if you trust the file; use at your own risk.
