Each player begins with a distinctive starter deck, then uses gems to collect aether, recruit fresh spells and relics, and carefully tear open breaches to unleash devastating casts. Unlike conventional deck-builders, Aeon’s End keeps discarded cards in their exact order rather than reshuffling them, which adds a fresh strategic layer to every decision. The turn order is randomized each round, so players must stay alert and adapt as the chaos unfolds. Every mage and nemesis brings its own style, and the team has to work together to fend off the varied, punishing assaults of the Nameless and keep humanity alive against overwhelming odds.
